Greater Seattle Area
I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background in addiction medicine and complex psychiatric care, and a strong interest in how we can do psychiatry better, more thoughtfully, more humanely, and with longer-term outcomes in mind. Clinically, I’m drawn to working with individuals who live with severe and persistent mental illness, treatment-resistant symptoms, and co-occurring substance use disorders. I value careful assessment, evidence-based medication management, and collaborative decision-making, especially in cases where stability has been difficult to sustain. I’m less interested in quick fixes and more interested in understanding why treatments work (or don’t), and how to build care plans that actually hold up in the real world. Looking forward, my professional interests are increasingly centered on interventional and innovative approaches to psychiatric care, including treatment-resistant depression, neurostimulation, and models that integrate lifestyle, neuroplasticity, and recovery-oriented supports alongside medication. I’m particularly motivated by improving access to high-quality psychiatric care in underserved and rural settings, and by building systems that emphasize durability of outcomes rather than episodic stabilization. Outside of psychiatry, I’m deeply invested in health, fitness, and time spent in the outdoors, especially the wilderness and landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. These interests shape how I think about mental health, resilience, and recovery, and reinforce my belief that good psychiatric care has to extend beyond symptoms alone. At my core, I’m motivated by work that is intellectually rigorous, grounded in evidence, and aligned with a long-term vision of sustainable mental health care—for both patients and clinicians.
