I'm a driven, ethical, results-oriented litigation attorney and have excelled both on the Plaintiff and Defense sides of the Civil Bar. Why does this matter? Because at the end of the day, I know how the process works and what advocacy is for all sides. I went to law school at night in my 40s while working full-time by day. I have worked for more than 5 years at Wigod & Falzon, P.C., a prominent and successful Plaintiffs' firm. More than 5 years at what was then Morgan & Meyers, P.C., also a prominent and successful Plaintiffs' firm, including having my clerkship there, and working as attorney there for about 2.5 years. On the Defense end, some of my efforts have been on behalf of insurance and individual clients at the venerable Pederson, Keenan, King, Wachsberg & Andrzejak firm prior to its closure due to named partner retirements; or at the respected Segal McCambridge and respected Smith & Brink. I set out to have my own firm because I enjoy providing high-quality, mission-oriented legal representation and counsel to my clients, in a fashion that is smart, dedicated, well respected by courts and opposing counsel, and focused on a fair value to clients with their hard-earned dollars. My firm is small enough so that I know and I'm involved with the case of every one of the firm's clients, yet it is set up properly so that we have the abilities, connections and platforms of a larger firm. My first career- Almost 20 years in real estate finance, ending in 2008 to pursue legal career. Admitted to practice in Michigan state courts, all federal district courts within Michigan, Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Quite honestly, I am one of those people who is fortunate enough to be able to say candidly, I am in the job position I want to be in. I have wanted to have my own firm and here I am! With one very strong paralegal along with me as the lawyer, this law firm provides the personal touch of a small firm, with the competencies, expertise and drive to advocate for our clients successfully, that is essential for a lawyer handling important matters on behalf of the lawyer's clients. I built this firm to treat my clients the way I would want to be treated if I were not a lawyer and needed one. If you are a potential client, and you want candid advice; honest counsel; and a driven lawyer with a proven record of accomplishment for his clients; then this is the right firm for you. If I truly believe that a legal action is not called for, then I will tell you so. I have done it before and I will do it again. An outstanding lawyer's job is to properly advise his or her client; this is a pursuit of mine each and every day. Also, please note, the experience listed on this site is not a complete listing of work performed and does not fill in all time periods of the past. These are not gaps in employment, only items that I did not feel essential to list for rounding out my background on this site. My goal is to help my clients, promote referrals, and advise the public of leading aspects about me, including at positions worked. The goal is not to have a complete resume focused on finding a job; I have the only position I want. Referring attorneys: subject to our Bar Rules, I pay referrals. Word of mouth and referrals help drive my firm. If you want to consider retaining an attorney who argued the case and wrote all the briefs that resulted in a Court of Appeals reported case in medical malpractice going in favor of his client, please contact this law firm. Thank you.
