PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND DESIGN WORK • Redesign existing product to handheld version • Control thermal output of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for safety and chip operation • Designed to standards and ratings, IP 54, MIL-STD-810G, RoHS • Expanded ANSYS knowledge by self-teaching CFX and Fluent • Used thermal Equations and FEA modeling to design and verify thermal solution • Designed test plan to validated that the design fulfilled requirements PROBLEM SOLVING AND SELF-TEACHING • Project problem: dispense pool ball, pick up, elevate, and drop in chute • Used Pugh chart to determine optimal design, selected piston drawn vacuum • Self-taught fluids principles for pressure and vacuum design • Designed piston drawn vacuum capable of lifting pool ball and fit with in size constrains • Compiled notes and possible solutions to improve design when it failed to operate as intended.
