After several years in sustainability consulting and assurance at KPMG Sustainability I decided to continue my career in process safety at Tata Steel Europe, the second largest steel producer in Europe. Process safety has been one of my professional passions and currently I have the role of senior engineer process safety at PTC (Projects and Technical Consultancy), the engineering unit of Tata Steel in IJmuiden. My main role is to perform process safety studies. Through previous positions I developed experience in the following roles: ENVIRONMENTAL RISK ANALYST At KPMG I performed many environmental due diligence projects identifying risks in the context of business transactions (mergers and acquisitions). SUSTAINABILITY DATA REPORTING SPECIALIST In sustainability assurance projects I acted as HSE data specialist reviewing and auditing HSE and sustainability data of large companies. I also advised companies how to structure sustainability data validation and review processes. GHG INVENTORY DEVELOPER At several large companies I developed Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventories including in oil and gas industry PROCESS ENGINEER WITH A PASSION FOR PROCESS SAFETY Being educated as chemical engineer my HSE projects always have a strong process engineer content. I have acted as team leader in several Hazard and Operability studies (HAZOP). EXPERIENCED HSE MANAGER Before I joined KPMG I worked for 13 years as HSE manager at Unilever. During this period I worked and lived in Romania to develop and manage an environmental services practice for KPMG in Central and Eastern Europe from Bucharest Romania.
