I'm an electrical engineer in the field of electrical design. I design and drawing of one-lines, cable and conduit schedules, panelboard schedules, block diagrams and details; drawing electrical layouts; revising and writing of electrical specs coordinating shop drawing submittal reviews; review and correct schematics, front and rear views, and wiring drawings; reviewing T&Ms; reviewing schedules for feasibility and basic logic; visual verification of equipment in field matched to drawings; tracking comments from parties involved in the project; making sure client changes that were agreed upon were implemented; and overseeing, drawing and checking drafting for field marked prints. In the roll of Project Engineer I created construction phase diagrams; cost estimate drawings for inside plant work; and drawings to aid in fiber optic field work. I have handled management of Design Builder submittals and RFIs, reviewed work for conformance, reviewed T&Ms and SOV billings, reviewed schedules, worked on solutions for disputes and technical issues and acted as a technical resource for the PM team. On a DB project my work included communications with the client, outside agencies including NYC DEP and FDNY, contractors, service persons and vendors. I've been involved in both the creation of and overseeing change orders. I've overseen work, instrument calibrations, directed contractors while documenting and photographing their work. I've scheduled contractor work, service and meetings. I've created project daily reports and has lead meetings. I've worked on turnover packages and punch list items for job closeout. I have experience exercising equipment for maintenance which includes manually operating process equipment and monitoring via HMIs and instrument readings.
