Eric Gaffet, engineer from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris (Chimie Paris Tech) in 1982, received PhD in materials chemistry in 1988 & Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches in 1995 (Université Pierre & Marie Curie – Paris VI ). In 1985, Eric Gaffet was appointed as CNRS researcher at Centre d’Etudes de Chimie Métallurgique (Vitry/Seine), moving to Nantes (Institut Matériaux)/1993, to Belfort (UTBM)/1993 , to Nancy (Director - Institut Jean Lamour / 2013-2017).
