PROJECT MANAGER - MEDICAL DEVICES I’m a R&D project manager with 20+ years of product development experience. In this role I lead the development of wearable Bolus Injectors, breathing machines, insulin micropump and flow control valves for drug delivery. I also managed the MEMS design team (microfluidic devices, microneedles, microvalves). Key Services Provided: • Drug Delivery Device Design: Expert guidance on ISO 11608 compliance, material selection, and device-primary packaging integration. • Drug Delivery Device Design & Root Cause Analysis: Lead troubleshooting initiatives for complex mechanical and electromechanical delivery systems (insulin micropumps, wearable injectors, passive flow regulators, microneedles, piezo actuators and pressure sensors). I specialize in identifying design flaws during the V&V (Verification and Validation) phase to prevent costly market delays • Technical Due Diligence: Act as an expert for the European Commission and technical advisor for investors and clinical-stage startups. I conduct comprehensive Technology Assessments to evaluate design maturity, manufacturing feasibility and IP strength (TRL). • Risk Management: Developing robust DFMEA frameworks to ensure patient safety and regulatory approval.
• Spearhead the development of a cutting-edge wearable biosensing system, focusing on system integration and mechanical design. • Implement design for manufacturing strategies, enhancing production efficiency and product quality. • Conduct rigorous verification and validation (V&V) processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards. • Utilize DFMEA to identify potential failure modes, significantly reducing risk in product development.
