A multiple world record-breaking and award-winning consultant ENT surgeon and medicolegal expert specialising in Military-NIHL (with a dual qualification in Audiology and super-specialisation in neurotology, skull base surgery, auditory implantation and botulinum toxin therapy). Mr Ahmad is a qualified Expert Witness with extensive experience in medicolegal report writing in military-NIHL (with industry-leading Abbot judgement compliant reports), industrial deafness, personal injury and clinical negligence. He produces robust Part 35 responses, joint statements and has been to trial on multiple occasions with his expert testimony accepted by the Court. He always makes himself accessible to solicitors and barristers, explaining complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. Having published scientific papers and book chapters, he recently became chairman of the international panel of experts on adult cochlear implantation He lectures worldwide on ear, skullbase surgery and auditory implants. Mr Ahmad led on skullbase surgery, botulinum toxin therapy & neurotology at a tertiary referral university hospital in the UK for over a decade. He performed more cochlear implants than any other surgeon in the North of England in previous years before being appointed Cochlear Implant Director in Al Ain, UAE. He is an ENT super-specialist with general and advanced experience in adults and children. He is one of the only surgeons trained in the UK with a Masters in Audiology and led one of the UK's largest botulinum toxin services for ENT movement/voice disorders. Mr Ahmad founded the first humanitarian cochlear implantation programme in the developing world in 2012 with it growing to become the world's largest. He remains Director of this programme, training surgeons both there and the UK. He has further developed his humanitarian work, performing ear surgery while training local surgeons in multiple low-resource countries. Mr Ahmad's qualifications are MBChB (Manchester), FRCS (Edinburgh), MSc Audiology (UCL) and DO-HNS (Royal College of Surgeons of England). He was awarded a distinction for his Masters degree in Audiology and has completed international superspecialist fellowships in Advanced Otology [Ear Surgery], Neurotology, Skull Base Surgery and Auditory Implantation [Cochlear Implants], Canada, Australia and the USA. Mr Ahmad designed and led on the UK's most innovative and comprehensive temporal bone surgical training and auditory implantation course for ENT surgical residents (over 33 courses over 11 years), continuing to teach internationally.

Last year, I performed the highest number of cochlear implants in the North of England and was the regional lead trainer for ear, auditory implants and skullbase surgery for ENT surgeons in training (designing and delivering 33 dissection courses over 11 years).
