Making technology useful and helping others. That is still the simple version of what I like doing. I have spent around 25 years around software, cybersec, quality engineering, systems architecture, cloud infrastructure and DevOps. I still enjoy testing new technology, understanding how it really works, and finding where it can be useful outside the demo. But production changes everything. I have seen enough nice diagrams fail in real environments to care more about how systems are actually run. Can the team deploy it? Monitor it? Secure it? Audit it? Improve it without fear? Trust it when things get difficult? That is where technology becomes real. I also care about the business side. In my own companies, and with clients, technical decisions do not stay technical for long. They become cost, risk, speed, trust, delivery capacity, and sometimes culture. That is also how we work at Threading Clouds. We help teams build cloud, security and AI platforms for real production environments. Faster delivery, better reliability, stronger security, controlled cloud cost, and more operational maturity. I care about the details that are easy to skip. Clear ownership. Secure defaults. Observability. Cost awareness. Documentation. Reliable pipelines. People who understand what they are changing and why. AI is useful, and we use it seriously. But I do not believe in replacing engineering judgment with automation. The best results come from experienced people using better tools, not from pretending the tools understand the full context. AI-enhanced, but expert, human expert-led. That is the standard I try to bring into the companies, teams and projects I work with. Enrique.
