Doctorate studies at the dept. of Mechanical engineering in the Polymer Technology group. Project was funded by the Dutch Polymer Institute (DPI) and main aim was to correlate processing conditions experienced by polyolefins melts during injection molding and film blowing to the resulting solidification/crystallization behavior consequently to the final morphology of the product. This was achieved by means of dedicated experimental setups and the results were used as input for crystallization models developed in the group.
PhD project was strongly connected to on-line X-ray techniques and therefore I joined the Dutch-Belgian Beamline (DUBBLE) at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) as a visiting researcher. This included collaboration with the scientific and technical staff to build and improve unique experimental setups.
