      Leading and managing a cross functional team of twenty engineers to resolve production and fleet investigations and to implement design modifications to improve the quality and reliability of the Controls Sub-System. Key Accountabilities · Deliver assigned projects to cost, schedule and quality targets. · Define commitments to the customer for the delivery of component design that safely meets the required performance (e.g. weight, efficiency, life, reliability, maintenance burden, etc.). · Provide Engineering leadership and performance management of the Controls Fleet Support Team. · Balance load and capacity for engineering resources across the Sub-System. · Promote leadership development through emotional intelligence. · Manage prompt resolution and continuous monitoring of production and fleet investigations, including support for safety investigations. · Work with the Customer and the Supplier Management Teams (Make and Design- Make) to address quality issues and implement containment, corrective and preventive actions. · Integrate with the Engine Service Engineering team and with the aftermarket/MRO suppliers to leverage engine fleet and MRO data to improve the reliability of the Controls system. · Manage design improvements through the applicable design review processes while ensuring plans and budgets are communicated and on plan. · Ensure the conceptual method of manufacture for the sub-system’s components is available to support sourcing. Ensure design for manufacture and DfX are subsequently carried out. · Travel internationally to foster global coordination with the UK Controls team
