I am Professor of Mathematics and apply theoretical and quantitative models to problems in Finance and Economics. My main interest is for how individuals make decisions, specifically financial decisions. The primary goal of my research is to further develop the theoretical foundation of Behavioural Finance and to improve that way its application to real-world problems. While I like fundamental research, I also want scientific innovations to impact industry and business. For this I founded BhFS Behavioural Finance Solutions, a company that applies academic research in Behavioural Finance to financial decision making, wealth management and portfolio management.
