I am a Software Engineer with 12+ years of experience having primarily worked in the Healthcare & Finances Industries. The highlight of my career thus far has been the four years working in the States for the top tier software healthcare company Epic Systems. There, not only did I hone my skills working alongside other top Software Developers in the country, I also gained a plethora of new experiences and insights, having lived and worked in another country.

COVID-19 Pandemic Having gained as much experience as possible in the United States working for Epic Systems, I decided I wanted to move my career back home to Canada. However as I just relocated back to Toronto the COVID-19 Pandemic had occurred causing the world to go on lockdown. I took this unfortunate circumstance as a rare opportunity to take some time off work to be with family, as I had been out of the country for many years. During the break, I worked on various skills I had been wanting extra time to pick up, most notable being Hockey skills, video editing skills and Japanese reading skills.
• Primary developer of Contract Management System, handling the company’s Accounting and Travel needs. • Designed data structures to handle millions of entries a month. • Developed mobile and desktop websites to allow users to efficiently enter millions of customer charges. Development was done in a Agile Development Cycle. • Created unit tests to improve maintainability of code. • Collaborated with third party travel vendors to provide integration with the custom travel management system. • Regularly met with non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and design new functionality. • Provided direct technical support to customers. Taking over the role of Lead Software Developer, I was now responsible for developing the database application's Front-End UI (VBA) and the back-end database (SQL Server). In addition, I proactively looked for opportunities to expand my role.
