I am a multi‑sector CEO and board director who leads audience‑ and experience‑led businesses, building powerful connections with fans, guests and customers across tourism, media, digital and energy. I have taken organisations through disruption and recovery, scaled data‑rich digital platforms serving millions of customers, executed strategic transactions and delivered step‑changes in growth, profitability and engagement for both globally recognised brands and nationally significant institutions. I have run complex, multi‑site portfolios of attractions and experiences, nationwide consumer brands and large membership and loyalty platforms, leading multi‑hundred‑million‑dollar P&Ls and cross‑functional teams. My CEO roles at RealNZ and Tourism New Zealand spanned crisis leadership, capital raising, portfolio and operating model redesign, national and destination brand building, and deep stakeholder work from ministers and senior officials to regional bodies, international partners and individual operators. I have also led a national loyalty and data business, transforming it into a modern, digital‑first audience platform with advanced data and analytics capabilities that drove measurable outcomes for a large coalition of partners. Currently, on the executive at Genesis, I am accountable for brand, digital, customer and retail performance, as well as margin and portfolio strategy and full P&L across retail, commercial and industrial as well as wholesale trading. I lead the investment in the largest national EV charging network, ChargeNet, and the acquisition of New Zealand's first climate positive electricity retailer, Ecotricity. Earlier, I ran global digital and social media organisations serving many of the world’s most recognisable consumer and entertainment brands, which underpins my approach to audience engagement, content and storytelling, sponsorships and partnerships, and global fan and community building. I enjoy mandates where there is a clear opportunity to reset strategy, lead turnarounds or scale platform businesses at pace under intense scrutiny.
The Executive accountable for group-wide commercial outcomes, the CRO delivers total revenue performance and margin growth through customers, portfolio optimisation and pricing strategies. The CRO drives revenue and margin growth across all channels to market including: Wholesale Markets & Trading, Residential consumers as well as Business and Commercial & Industrial customers. The role also has accountability for Brand & Marketing and Product Innovation as well as Portfolio Management. Leading a diverse cross-functional team to optimise performance and achieve business objectives in the current financial period as well as into the future.
The Executive accountable for the groups go to market strategy and performance of Genesis Energy's Retail channels and brands, including governance roles overseeing retail subsidiaries Ecotricity and ChargeNet.
