As a team, developing a shift scheduling system to be used on ships for the system design project, which is a graduation project. • Researched and analyzed key symptoms, establishing an initial position for the project. • Programmed automated workflows for extraction and processing of crew schedule data from hundreds of pages of PDF in Python using image processing and OCR tools. • Modelled the problem as a mixed integer problem using Python Pyomo library and solved it using Gurobi Optimizer.
