I am a results-driven and cross-functional team leader with a background as an Oil and Gas operations /production support engineer. I specialize in continuous process improvements, operations management, safety and policy development and risk mitigation strategies. Moreover, excel at leading startup and commissioning processes, managing change and oversight of oil and gas production facilities. I possess a track record of consistently improving performance, creative problem solving and ensuring seamless project management and support.
Ad Hoc Bowtie and administrative procedures creation. Operation Support, Mentoring / Coaching
In my most recent role, I oversaw the development and deployment of HAZOP and SOP guidelines to ensure full audit compliance, operational safety and adherence to industry best practices and standards. I supported the HAZOP Facilitator throughout the HAZOP Review Campaign, managed technical authors, draftsman and SMEs in SOP/standard development and designed over 70 Bowties leveraging Bowtie XP barrier-assessing software. I trained and mentored cross-functional teams and junior staff regarding risk mitigation strategies and compliance, best practices, and SOPs. I managed stakeholder training of BT 101 and general workforce personnel with Barrier Thinking. Reviewed maintenance PMs and CMs on SCE’s Level 1. Moreover, I successfully drove 100% completion of drawing reviews and update ensuring 100% SOPs for the FPSO asset and 100% of Bowties a full six months ahead of schedule. I effectively designed and created a coaching and mentoring system for young EG Nationals to comprehensively learn HAZOP and other audits as well as personal development skills, SOP, engineering, leadership and Adobe skills. • Lead a team of technical authors, subject matter experts (SMEs) and drafters to prepare campaign documentation. • Prioritized documents required to bridge the skills gaps of the operation team and addressed gap mitigation with management. • Developed SOP to be utilized by the production lead to promote standardization and consistency with the equipment operations and eradicate malpractices to prevent equipment damages. • Collaborated with the subsea and process engineers to find solutions and resolve technical issues.
Here, I ensured end-to-end project management of multiple power initiatives as a key policy developer, drafter of procedures, and P&ID reviewer. I drove ad-hoc operations team support as a technical troubleshooter and problem solver capable of ensuring compliance and SOP adherence. I trained and mentored staff, optimized daily production and deferment planning and led strategic planning to ensure on time and under budget project completion. I effectively overcame issues as they arose from multiple remote locations and political climates with minimal resources; delivered outstanding results despite numerous challenges, including evacuation from Libya and retention as a vital employee capable of on-the-ground problem-solving. NOTE: Standby time overlaps with the Hess EG assignment above and approved by Wintershall. • Provided technical support for special projects: Water Injection Phase II, Separation Phase II & Power Generation Phase III, debottlenecking of existing oil and gas facility and shutdown preparation. • Wrote policies, procedures, and P&ID review and updates. • Supported the operations team during process upsets and abnormal conditions. • Optimized daily production and deferment planning for maintenance and projects. • Mentored staff.
In this role, I directed aspects of commissioning and startup operations in support of oil recovery, MOC custodianship for multiple systems and leadership of daily production meetings. I managed review and analysis of global production reports, corrected production deviations, oversaw daily operations and leveraged wells strategy to minimize production deferments. I led production risk evaluation and mitigation strategies, contractor evaluation, reviewed offers in multiple languages, annotated returned bids and managed documentation. I spearheaded strategic planning and implementation of a 17 days campaign 24/7 support environment for the replacement of hydrocarbon lines from wellheads and manifolds to production facilities, including HC and O2 freeing, pigging and dewatering without lost time incidents (LTI). I also successfully reduced MOC from 177 older than a year to 55 in total over the course of six months through effective cross-functional leadership. • Commissioned facilities and evaluated contractor personnel work methods during construction. • Custodian of the management of change (MOC) process for all systems post startup. • Co-chaired the daily production meeting and provided key liaison with multiple key personnel. • Reviewed and conducted global production reports. • Identified production deviations and implemented corrective measures. • Implemented wells strategy to minimize production deferments during scheduled outages as per Algerian legislation and production forecast. • Reviewed offers to tender and justifications for offers to preferred vendors that were written in French for accuracy. • Reviewed and annotated returned bids written in French to allow correct scoring of the bids.
