I'm a back-end developer with 8 years of experience building web applications for clients across Switzerland, the UAE, and the Middle East. Over the years I've worked with Laravel, Ruby on Rails, WordPress, and Magento 2 delivering platforms in e-commerce, real estate, and insurance, in both individual contributor and tech lead roles. What sets me apart is a solid infrastructure background. I understand how systems behave in production, which means I can take a project from initial server setup all the way to deployment. Currently I lead a Linux team at a managed-services company, where alongside infrastructure work I also write custom tooling in Ruby and PHP to solve problems where off-the-shelf solutions don't exist. I'm also a published author on Ruby programming and Bash scripting, and I teach programming as a volunteer trainer. I enjoy working in environments where the technical challenges are real and the craft of writing good software is valued.
