In addition, it covers the completion of maintenance and repair works in accordance with the TÜPRAŞ work permit system and establishment of the site arrangement upon technical approval for the work permit. GENERAL SCOPE Within the scope of the project, work items listed, but not limited to the below, will be executed in accordance with the site contract (method, time, shift scheme). * Construction Works: Refinery construction workshop covers building maintenance, plastering and painting, manual and equipment excavation – land filling works, cleaning, carpentry works, sewer works. * Insulation Works: Insulation of pipes, valves and individual equipment covers renovation of damaged insulation. * Painting and Sandblasting Works: It covers painting and repainting of damaged coatings of steel structure and individual pieces of various equipment. * Tank-Maintenance Jobs: Static equipment maintenance and repairs are performed in order to ensure continuity of operation by improving reliability and integrity of equipment.

    The TANAP starts from the Georgia/Turkey border at Türkgözü/Posof/Ardahan where it connects to South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) and ends at the Turkey/Greece border in Ipsala/Edirne, where it feeds into the TAP Pipeline. There is an off-take station at Eskişehir, Turkey, and another one at Thrace, Turkey to connect to the Turkish natural gas distribution network. The proposed TANAP Project is a 56-inch and 48-inch pipeline system of 1805 km, and will transport natural gas to the required specifications and quantity. Resid Upgrade Project (RUP) has been decided for İzmit Refinery of TUPRAS which is located in Gulf of İzmit, at the center of a consumption hub that accounts for around 40% of Turkish petroleum product consumption. The main purpose of the Resid Upgrade Project (RUP) is to built units that process the low value of fuel oil and convert it to valuable products. With completion of the Resid Upgrade Project, Owner TUPRAS will process 4.2 million ton high sulfur fuel oil and produce 3.5 million ton valuable high quality white products (diesel / jet fuel, gasoline and LPG) in Euro-V standarts, 690.000 ton petroleum coke and 86.000 ton sulfur. Shell GSI, Foster Wheeler USA, UOP and Technip are the technology licensors for the project. Tecnicas Reunidas, an international general contractor in engineering and construction in the oil and gas sector, enter a contract with TUPRAS as a main contractor for Resid Upgrade Project (RUP).
