I am proud to be teaching at one of Melbourne’s highest performing public schools, in the role of generalist primary teacher. My role centres on providing engaging, didactic, and diversified teaching at students point of need. My unique experience, both abroad and in Australia, have equiped me with the skills and knowledge to facilitate such teachings. As an active member of the South Yarra Primary School community, I have continued my personal and professional development, notably, in supporting students with additional learning needs. I have designed Individual Education Plans (IEP), and Behaviour Management Plans (BMP), alongside personal student resources to provide tailored, holistic, and equitable support. My passion and desire to create a safe, calm, and welcoming learning environment, couples with the schools foundational ideology for student wellbeing. As I continue in this role, I endeavour to provide, both the school and my students, the highest level of education and care.
A nanny and babysitter for multiple families, with children ranging from 4-13 years of age; providing holistic care and assistance on both a permanent and ad hoc basis. In this role, I am: Holistically caring and supporting the families, including preparing and cooking meals, travel, and additional household duties. Assisting with homework, facilitating extended learning opportunities, and providing emotional care. Coordinating labourers, minor administrative duties, and maintaining the families schedule.
As part of an education team, My English Tutor provides grammar, comprehension, spelling, and articulation skills for EAL students, ranging from ages 4 to 14. In this role, I was: Scaffolding student learning through the development of diverse enabling and extending prompts and activities – adopting a phonic learning and teaching methodology. Focused on fostering students’ confidence and engagement through both individual and group classes. Submitting daily reports, developing effective and fair assessments, and completing regular moderation.
An employee of an online tutoring company, supporting students from early years to higher education, including NAPLAN and Lantite preparation. In this role, I was: Partaking in ongoing professional development courses, focused on learning disabilities, and mental health considerations for best practice teaching. Teaching on a one-on-one basis with a tailored and individualised teaching approach. Developing professional relationships with students, building confidence, and learning motivation. Submitting weekly session reports, recommendations for future learning, and ongoing communication with parents.
Within the Alef centre, I was a full-time educator and assistant room leader for a 3-5-year-old kinder, and 6-24month baby room. In this role, I was: Managing the classroom, programming, parent-teacher communications, and resource inventory. Delegating roles, ensuring child safety, general administration, and classroom maintenance. Interpreting and applying the Australian Curriculum, with consideration of Montessori learning and teaching philosophy.
