Worked as a summer intern in the processing and aftercare department preparing and processing foreign currency orders. Developed time management capabilities by working against tight deadlines, while maintaining high levels of precision in my work.
Responsible for product portfolio management, new product launch support and customer event management. Independently led Customer Focused Marketing (CFM) project, liaising with other marketing divisions to create promotions and joint advertising to grow the sales of 3M products. Developed capabilities such as decision-making, leadership, teamwork and project management. Additionally, advanced competencies such as verbal and written communication and effective listening through customer meetings and events. Extended my knowledge about the marketing function and daily operations of a large multinational.
During my summer internship at Bpost, I was interacting on a one-to-one basis with customers. This role also required me to quickly acquire new product knowledge, to enable me to explain and sell products to customers. Throughout this job, I further developed my communication skills in order to make successful sales. Moreover, I learned the importance of working as a team to fulfil company objectives. For instance, I encouraged more senior colleagues to share best practices so that I could improve my individual performance, adapt quicker, and be an asset to the team. I enjoyed finding creative ways to deal with customer queries.
I worked as a sales assistant in the butchery department where my main task was serving and interacting with customers. Working in a team environment taught me the importance of asking questions and seeking advice in order to be a better employee; which allowed me to be as efficient and effective as possible to deliver high quality of service.
