I am currently working to obtain a bachelors degree in Marketing. I will also be working towards attaining my Sales Certificate. Being accepted into The Ralph and Lucy Schey Sales Centre has given me a great jump start on this journey. Through selling Exsell discount cards for a local charity, I have been able to get first hand experience in the sales department. Over the past few years I have worked at Pine Creek Properties in my hometown of Bainbridge, Ohio. I have had a few different roles here so I now know how to adapt and learn from my time with this company. My most recent job from the summer there has been to process and pay property tax bills for rental properties. I also decipher and distribute eviction collection credits. Finally, my current job is to message tenants who have not paid their rent or have an over due balance. These tasks have allowed me to develop time management skills and coached me into pay close attention to details.
Pine Creek Properties is a property management company managing over 500 units in the Cleveland area. When I first started working at Pine Creek, I was filing bills, leases, and other documents to keep the organized and allow for easy access. Soon after I took on the roll of paying all utilities bill for the units we manage. My most recent jobs have consisted of sorting and deciphering through eviction collection checks. I also message tenants with a past due balance and late rent.
Working at Common Scents by Connie I have been given the creative freedom to develop various self-care products. I make lotions, scrubs, candles, and much more. Each day I go in and mix together different scents to craft the perfect combination for customers. Additionally, I decorate the store and display cases to draw in new customers.
More specifically, I worked as a consultant for Wonder Lounge, a newly renovated trendy cafe in the Thessaloniki Hondos Center location. My team of two other Ohio University students and four Greek students were challenged to marketing the new spot to a younger demographic. Through meetings with the owner and her team we were able to learn their needs at hand. By surveying Hondos customers and locals we were able to get an understanding of the interests of the population. We researched effective marketing in the city and calculated the cost of those marketing strategies for the client.
