About

I am an undergraduate at Northwestern University double majoring in Social Policy and Political Science, with a minor in Sociological Research. My academic and professional interests center on education policy, school accountability systems, and the intersection of policy design and organizational behavior. As a research assistant in Cynthia Coburn’s CEP lab during my first two years, I examined how school infrastructure and systems foster continuity and alignment across curriculum, colleagues, and leadership in small to medium California districts. In my sophomore year, I was awarded the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship, which provides mentorship and funding for my independent research on school voucher programs. The summer before my junior year, I conducted an independent study on accountability theater—investigating how accountability policies influence teachers’ perceptions, classroom practices, and trust in leadership. This year, I am working with Professor Simone Ispa-Landa on her ongoing manuscript analyzing a high school’s discipline and accountability policies. Beyond academia, I have worked on multiple political campaigns, organized voter registration and political activism across three major Florida districts, and freelanced in digital and written journalism. I am passionate about producing research that bridges theory, policy, and practice to address inequities in education. Please contact me at [email protected]!
