About

My name is Emma Pruett, and I am a Master of Arts in Communication student at Valdosta State University. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a focus in Organizational Communication from VSU. I currently serve as a Graduate Assistant (Teacher Assistant), a goalkeeper coach for Valdosta High School, a substitute teacher for Lowndes County Schools, and a nanny. Previously, I have worked in the retail and restaurant industries and completed a Strategic Communication Internship with Brevard Public Schools District. These experiences strengthened my adaptability, responsibility, and interpersonal communication skills. I played for the Valdosta State University women’s soccer team for four years, during which I developed strong time-management, discipline, conflict-resolution, and goal-setting skills. I am eager to continue learning, growing, and applying communication strategies in professional settings that value collaboration, leadership, and meaningful impact.
