I’ll be working hands-on with endangered sea turtles, helping with their care, rehabilitation, and release back into the ocean. This opportunity means so much to me and is a huge step toward my goal of working in marine conservation.
Daily water quality and husbandry Feeding controlled and specialized diets Tank maintenance (cleaning and water changes) Rearing of various tropical species (Clownfish – multiple species, Yellow Tang, Orchid Dottyback, Mudskippers) Larval rearing experience Culturing Live food (i.e. zooplankton and phytoplankton) CITI certified Lab recognition: "SeaStar of the Month" -Outstanding work recognized by supervisor and peers
Provided customer service on a daily basis Processed transactions handling cash, credit, and electronic payments Managed inventory Organized team member events Organized 100-800 people events Organized food layout and food preperations Trained new and existing team members on policies and procedures Hosted cabana customers Performed daily opening and closing responsibilities Supervised up to 25 employees at a time
