I bring over five years of experience in research project management, transforming complex insights into meaningful, user-centered innovations. Passionate about education, technology, and health, I believe the best solutions come from blending curiosity, empathy, and data.
Coordinated 3 NIH-funded research projects examining adolescent and young adult substance use, protective behavioral strategy use, risk-taking behaviors, social media use, and parent/teen communication: • Prepared study documentation for IRB review/approval (modifications, continuing reviews, close outs) • Collaborated on 5 peer-reviewed publications and 6 poster presentations • Managed a team of research assistants and graduate students • Facilitated and transcribed focus groups and cognitive interviews • Designed and developed an interactive online intervention for a randomized controlled trial • Implemented and planned testing procedures of programming functions
Coordinated 2 research projects (NIH and HRSA funded) pertaining to health disparities, access to mental health care, and the clinical utility of the Hierarchical Taxonomy of Psychopathology (HiTOP). Collaborated on 6 poster and symposium presentations presented at local and national conferences (1 first-author). Recruited participants and tracked data collection. Managed participant communication, retention and compensation. Developed survey logic in Qualtrics and REDCap. Coded articles for meta analyses. Assisted in the development of the Center for Psychosocial Health Disparities Research.
Led a 10-15-person team in weekly meetings, scheduled and assigned recruitment events, and pioneered new research participant recruitment approaches. Organized and participated in community events to recruit difficult-to-reach adolescents (e.g. marijuana and alcohol use reporting) and adults (trauma exposed and alcohol use reporting) for laboratory-based experimental studies
Facilitated laboratory procedures for 3 NIH-funded research studies pertaining to adolescent and young adult social anxiety, depression, substance use and PTSD. Administered structured clinical interviews (SCID-IV; MINI) with adolescent and adult participants. Conducted analyses in SPSS. Collaborated on 9 poster presentations presented at national conferences (3 first-author).
