Engineering manager for the front-end Editor team. Working with the cross-platform editor and a handful of accessory modules, such as annotation and handwriting. - Managed a team of 5 front-end developers + 1 QA engineer - Delivered several high impact features, including a spreadsheet previewer and note rich links - Orchestrated developers' time shared between my team and a cross-functional team, which developed a massive collaborative editing feature - Mentored 2 interns in summer 2022 - Ran daily standup and bi-weekly bug triage meetings - Worked closely with release managers for desktop and mobile clients
Development for the desktop and web clients. I helped launch the new Electron-based desktop client, improved performance for startup and scrolling behaviors, and added features related to native files.
Developed interactive tools and accessibility solutions for a large-scale standardized testing platform used by millions of students each year in grades 3-12. - Maintained critical code related to the structure of tests, speed, and security. - Designed new solutions for long-existing code, contributing to significant speed increases. - Explored dynamic text-to-speech solutions to better support test authors and students. - Mentored several junior developers, including daily check-ins and code reviews. - Instituted and documented team standards and patterns.
Front end developer - Redesigned and maintained tools, including virtual highlighter and text-to-speech plugin. - Supported usage on desktop and several touch devices. - Learned about web accessibility and contributed to achieving a WCAG 2.0 AA rating.
