About

I am a recent graduate who studied Biochemistry at the University of Edinburgh. I've previously worked for Eurofins, a company involved in testing pharmaceutical, food, and environmental samples for salmonella and listeria. I was specifically involved in the sample preparation process. My time at this lab has taught me the importance of conducting aseptic and sterile technique, and has also made me aware of the health and safety protocols that need to be employed in the laboratory. I have greatly appreciated the laboratory experience given to me by Eurofins, however, I have always had a passion for drug and vaccine development. As a result, I am currently working as a manufacturing scientist at Valneva, a company that manufactures and commercialises prophylactic vaccines, and strives to protect individuals from infections caused by a vaccine-preventable disease.
