I began experimenting with Linux when I was nearly a toddler, and I'm still experimenting today. I set up my first production server at age 6, and have since done Linux and Unix administration at scales small and large. I have roughly 10 years of experience in embedded software engineering, and have worked on RFID warehouse tracking, vehicle fleet trackers, medical devices, exercise equipment, 5G cellular equipment, and more. I also have worked extensively on private Linux distribution maintenance, both professionally for a major CDN, and personally. I enjoy writing systems software, and my go to languages are C, Zig, and Lua. I am also learning Julia to assist with mathematics, such as my hobby of factoring mersenne numbers with a personal compute cluster. I have previously also spent my spare time working on game console emulators and old game engines. I have my own ASN via RIPE, and run a small IPv6-only global network as a hobby. I am not interested in hearing about roles related to defense, military, aerospace, cryptocurrency, or AI-centric products. I know several other qualified embedded software engineers who do not use this platform and are also seeking work - if you are hiring for a job that I might be a fit for, please feel free to reach out, even if I am not actively seeking, so I can put you in touch with someone else. My wife is also seeking work in offensive cybersecurity and reverse engineering.
