• Writing or editing all communications that leave the office including press releases, constituent letters, op-eds, Letters to the Governor, Letters to Elected Officials, eblasts, social media posts, mailers, talking points, speeches, etc. • Creating and managing the legislative package for the 2021-22 session, staffing the member on two committees, writing and presenting recommendations for every bill heard in committee or on the floor to the member, utilizing political data on the make-up of the District to direct a strategic decision on votes • Managing and teaching one Legislative Aide and three District Office Field Representatives the legislative process, social media best practices and writing/editing skills
• Drafting press releases, talking points, op-eds, email blasts, social media graphics and posts, letters to the editor, brochures, and mail pieces for 19 Assemblymembers • Following legislation and staying up-to-date on all issues pertaining to California politics and pitching communication efforts in response to those issues • Working with policy consultants to research and assess issues being talked about to craft a conservative standpoint and messaging
• Oversaw all campaign operations including recruiting and coordinating volunteers, planning events, setting up voter contact through applications such as VictoryVoIP, RumbleUp, Political Data Inc., etc. • Coalesced support in the district through establishing a robust ground game, seeking and obtaining endorsements, ballot harvesting, managing social media and writing all campaign communications • Wrote campaign call scripts, eblasts, fundraising letters, press releases, headquarters letters, text messages
