First acquiring experience with orthopedic, oncology, pediatric, and gastrointestinal surgery patients, I excelled in working with my patients, leading my unit, and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives. As a continuous improvement champion, I accepted numerous appointments to special workgroups, was invited to an exclusive nursing leader event, and was recognized for my contributions to patient care excellence. ★ ★ ★ Having floated throughout multiple units, in 2016 I was recruited to join the neuroscience stroke certified unit. Since then, I have deepened my knowledge of neurology, contributed to exceptional patient outcomes, and become a systems subject matter expert.
