Integrating agriculture and energy policies to deliver synergistic climate benefits for sustainable transitions Taking a comparative case-study approach, my PhD study focuses on assessing policy integration on the nexus issue of agriculture-climate-energy (ACE) in Denmark and the United Kingdom. The cases focus on collaborative initiatives that aim to address the role of agriculture in reducing GHG emissions through the adoption of energy saving practices and renewable energy development on farm. The study explores the potential of an integrative approach, using network analysis to map the interplay of stakeholder relations and the governance architecture of the collaborative initiatives that constitute the policy network on ACE. Collectively, the project will propose practice-led policy pathways that bring disparate sectoral policies together to advance sustainable transitions of agri-food systems. Overall, the PhD project seeks to contribute insights to the field of agri-environmental governance through advancing understanding on the socio-political factors of collaborative governance arrangements.
