- Manage all Residential buildings, serving approximately 1050 students - Responsible for orientation, supervision and regular evaluation of 32 Resident advisors through daily interactions, regular one on ones and weekly team meetings - Design and implement a ten day intensive Resident Advisor Training prior to fall semester, including a three day intensive training for Section Leaders - Offer staff development opportunities (conferences, in-services, etc.) throughout year for Resident Advisors, including a three day spring training - Provide on call support to immediate crisis situations - Develop and coordinate an updated system for Fall and Spring Resident Advisor Recruitment - Oversee Campus Wide and Late Night educational programming - Maintain a large portion of the Residential life budget - Serve as a mediator and counselor for residential students - Sit on planning and selection committees as needed
- Manage and oversee an area of three buildings comprised of approximately 300 students including approx. 125 first-years - Plan and implement fall training for thirty-three Resident Assistants - Participate in an on-call duty rotation and respond to on-campus emergencies - Utilized MAP-works software to seek out at-risk students and help to aid in retention - Coordinated a building budget of $2,000.00 - Plan, organize and implement fall semester operations including the housing assignment process, Resident Assistant training, building maintenance, student billing and conference operations - Conduct weekly individual meetings with twelve Resident Assistants to discuss issues, in-hall programming, recognize contributions to the staff and provide and solicit feedback - Supervise the implementation of the programming model including program approval, reviewing program proposals, providing program feedback and tracking program requirements - Serve on several committees addressing the needs of the changing student population entering Hiram College
- Promote and restore the Residence Life social media sites - Advertise and coordinate large scale programs hosted by the office - Revitalize and oversee the Resident Assistant Selection process - Participate in departmental functions and projects including Residence Life Housing Selection - Assist with supervision of students who participate in large scale programs - Interact with other offices on campus to gain the sense of community - Review and suggest changes the Residence Life student policy handbook - Assist with duties of student workers
