Responsible for managing and creating technical documentation and ensuring technical sound content across the assigned material group and its application method, throughout the product life cycle. The role supports Corporate Product Engineers / Managers (CPE, CPM), Target Markets (TMs), Technical Communicators and local Sales Organizations in technical topics, such as documentation. The CTM acts as a technical expert ensuring technical standards, sustainability, and regulatory compliance (given by Compliance, Global Conformity, EHS etc.).
- Steer the corporate product development process for construction sealants and adhesives - Pro-actively propose changes / extensions to the corporate product range and roll-out new products in local Sika sales organizations globally - Create rules and guidelines for use of products and solutions - Provide technical support to local sales organizations (e. g. in major construction projects) - Responsible for professional product and sales training
- Specialist for performance additives - special carbon blacks and fumed silica for the formulation and the optimization of adhesives, sealants, elastomers. - Functionally responsible for international key accounts and distributors. - Contributes to the development of new markets as well as to the formulation and the implementation of the company's strategic goals. - Cooperates with the development, the market introduction and the commercialization of a brand new grade surface-treated fumed silica designed for the latest generation of crash-durable structural adhesives.
- Functional leadership of the TS Group for elastic (glass, plastic) bonding. - Technical support, information exchange and coordination with the EMEA Account Managers, Sales & Marketing, as well as with the regional R&D laboratories in the US, Asia and SA. - Contributes to dedicated projects under the R&D management, e.g., with product portfolio optimization. - Supports global customers and the quality department with the necessary expertise for troubleshooting and for the resolutions of complaint cases. - Market and competition observation with maintenance of comparisons and validations of technological trends and tendencies. - Creates and conducts professional technical training events, presentations, documentations, reports and communications.
