About

Over 20 years of experience in developing contents for the design and fine arts industries and media, as a journalist and a book writer, a consultant and a curator (exhibitions and collections) in both Europe and Asia. An Art & Design specialist and a curator, Elodie Palasse-Leroux has collaborated with Christie's, the Rothschild Foundation, French national museums, galleries, brands and co-curated the "50 Years of Singapore Design" exhibition and permanent collection for the Singapore National Design Centre. Since 2009, she has been developing summits and conferences for international organisations such as Maison&Objet Paris, M&O Asia, the European Confederation of Linen & Hemp (doubling as the Editor-in-Chief of the CELC international publication), the International Furniture Fair Singapore (IFFS), ArtParis Art Fair, among others. As an editor, she worked for leading houses Thames & Hudson (UK), Abbeville Books (USA), then for Vivendi Publishing International (FR) as a Marketing & Editorial Manager for Europe. Since 2003, she has been writing articles for such magazines as Slate (Washington Post group), Connaissance des Arts (LVMH), L'Express Styles, Etapes design magazine, Architectures à Vivre, AMC Le Moniteur, le Quotidien de l’Art… The books she wrote have been published in France, the USA, the UK and Italy (Thames & Hudson, Abrams Books, J'ai Lu, Glénat, Petit Futé, Ippocampo). She holds postgraduate degrees in English Studies, Book Publishing and the Art & Design markets (Christie's Education). Her design blog, published in English, attracts an international readership. Founded in 2009, www.sleekdesign.fr has received numerous international awards and accolades (ELLE Deco, Marie Claire Maison, Maison Magazine...) and been described in the press as "An addictive bible of the current trends in design".
