Elliot is a dedicated water industry professional who has worked as a process engineer and strategic planning since 2015. Having worked across Australia and Europe, predominantly with municipal water utilities, Elliot has also worked in oil and gas, mining and industrial waste processes. The most enjoyable days at work are when Elliot gets to produce process simulations/models, take enthusiastic people for plant tours, and present strategic direction for a better, greener future for infrastructure projects. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) with First Class Honours from The University of Adelaide.

Within Service Programs, this position is a planning role focused on the delivery of business cases and setting forth the capital plan for major augmentations.
- Lead design engineer for the Green Recovery programme for 35 new low phosphorus permits - Design standards owner for secondary treatment and biological phosphorus removal - Nominated Technology Champion for Aerobic Granular Sludge and EBPR - End to end sludge treatment appraisal and design
- Lead engineer for the design and research of emerging contaminant treatment solutions (hazardous substances, microplastics, PPCPs, PFAS/PFOA, etc.) - Optioneering for incoming environmental permits for AMP7 (2020 to 2025 permits), designing chemical phosphorus removal, biological nutrients removal and hydraulic expansion. - Innovation projects for both future chemical resilience and process optimisation. Studies through to full scale trials of Rare Earth Metal dosing, advanced oxidation processes, electrocoagulation, activated primary treatment and more. - Engagement Team, a group tasked with engaging our wider department in the business and maintaining healthy work culture inside and outside the office. - Community Champions, volunteering in environmental remediation projects in restoring local wetlands.
- Wastewater – zero liquid discharge electrocoagulation and biological membrane bio-reactors. - Water treatment – forward and reverse osmosis, electrodeionization, ultra and multimedia filtration. - Plant and process design for water and wastewater projects. Mass and energy balances; process modelling; equipment and process selection; product design for manufacturing. - Research and development for unique projects, new technologies and pilot plants - Design and supervision of the manufacturing, construction, installation and commissioning. - Engagement with sales, project scope and definitions, technical and commercial proposal writing.
