Maintain a system to log all incoming requests from customers and how/when the requests were fulfilled. · Maintain a filing system for all compliance documentation. · Maintain a system to assure that all factory certifications on file are continuously updated and are not expired. · Field and respond to incoming compliance requests from customers. · Read through all incoming “vendor manuals” to best determine how to comply and if Brand ID’s current RSL manual is synchronized with the customer’s manual in terms of acceptable levels of RSL items. · Foster open lines of communication with the management of Product Development and Production/Sourcing departments to discuss how best to comply with customer requests. · Send out RSL Manual to all new vendor factories and obtain signatures to be kept on file; send out RSL Manual annually that summarizes all changes made within the last year; maintain data base of signatures from each vendor factory · Draft and present a proposal for a company-wide standard process for Restricted Substance Compliance in terms of a random testing program. Include information regarding implementation feasibility and cost · Establish standards of environmental compliance required for factory partners and a system to monitor/track. This would include Bluesign certifications. · Monitor and track all existing Oeko-TEX certifications to ensure they are current. · Maintain annual renewal of company’s Oeko-Tex certification · Manage the third party testing program for all applicable products. · Stay current with new/updated RSL limits/regulations by reading bulletins and newsletter published by testing labs and attending on-line seminars.
Assist Key Accounts and Sales to review clients’ manuals and design test packages · Review clients' specifications, provide regulation updates to teams (REACH, SVHC, GB, CPSIA, CA 65, SASO, MRSL etc.) · Manage sample breakdown and preparation team (team size: 30+) · Participate in sustainability project; research in recycle fabrics and vegan fabrics · Prepare sample breakdowns and test plans · Review MSDS · Prepare quotations to clients · Prepare report templates to local and global reporting teams · Communicate with labs for the update test methods · Communicate with other affiliates to align test practice and so on · Review test results / risk assessments · Issue test reports · Handle internal and external clients' inquiries and provide business solutions · Participate in LEAN projects, process control, digitalization, continuous improvement projects, design department workflow
· Review chemical test results · Operator of UV, FTIR, and AAS, ICP etc. · Prepare wet chem samples (heavy metals, formaldehyde and material identification)
