- Manage special and cultivation events (live and virtual) for major donors, corporate audience and long term supporters. Events include a Sports Quiz and Race Night to create an entertaining and informative evening for donors whilst raising vital funds. Responsibilities include but not limited to event logistics, liaising with event committees, negotiations with suppliers, guest communication and budgeting. - Oversee challenge participants and responsible for building a strong relationship throughout their donor journey and keeping them motivated to reach their fundraising target. - Responsible for regular donors and individual giving which involves keeping donors engaged, informed and encouraged to continue their support.
Project lead for all the charities special and major donor events. Events range from 200-1,200 guests and from formal dinners to sports screenings. Responsibilities include but not limited to; budgets, event logistics, major donor care, communicating with suppliers, committee meetings, guests lists and event collateral. Community • The main contact for celebration supports, building relationships and assisting with any queries. • Engage with schools and community groups to promote the charity and encourage volunteers and fundraising. Administration • Recording all income on Raisers Edge and responsible all donation communications (e.g. Thank-you letters, gift aid) • Assist the Marketing team with promoting events, arranging collateral and using social media
This was a full-time office based assistant role for my third year university placement, which due to my performance was extended to a part-time role during my final year of university. My role was an administrative people based one, assisting the HR team in daily activities and on company wide projects. Microsoft Office was used on a daily basis and gained valuable experience in working with complex spreadsheets. This role allowed me to gain a strong foundation in understanding business and experience in working within professional teams.
I started working in John Lewis Glasgow during my final year of school and transferred to the Aberdeen branch when I started university. This was a customer service and selling role that involved interacting with the customers to assist with their queries in a welcoming manner whilst meeting company procedures and standards. I acted as a representative of the partnership demonstrating high customer service and being driven to achieve sales targets.
