I consider myself to be a conscientious, organised and diligent individual, with the determination to do well at all of my chosen aims and goals. I thrive whilst working as part of a team and aim to be a valued member of my workplace. I am currently employed on a part-time basis as an Administrative Clerk within a surveying consultancy company. My role within the company is essential because I am the linch pin between different departments and our clients. Without my input and completion of my responsibilities, there would be the potential for gaps in diaries, payments and reports. The consequences of which could be the failed or missed appointments, employees not receiving payment, and damage to the company reputation. However, whilst I am growing and learning some essential skills, my ambition is to work within the finance industry. I am very much vested in achieving my goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant, as I seek to complete relevant qualifications and gain practical work experience toward this aspiration. I am actively working to develop key transferable skills through the Career Ready Programme, so that I can be successful in this chosen career path. The programme has helped me to develop skills such as communication, networking and problem-solving, whilst giving me the opportunity to invest myself within new challenges. Through my drive, commitment and hard work I obtained exceptionally good GCSE results. I received eight Grade 9’s and one Grade 8, whereby I was ranked first with regards to GCSE exam results within my year group. Furthermore, throughout my academic career I was awarded various in school accolades, but by far my most proudest achievement was receiving the Jack Petchey award. As well, I really enjoy broadening my opportunities and knowledge, and have done so through way of completing a number of extracurricular activities, including Future Leaders, Realising Opportunities, and UCL Summer Schools in Ancient Philosophy and Homer. More recently, I ventured into a new opportunity when I undertook a 4 week internship in bp’s Trading and Shipping department. Whereas in my down time, I love to cook and bake, construct miniature houses and am trying my hand in growing my own fruit and vegetable patch!
