I am pursuing my J.D. through Northeastern University School of Law's FlexJD program, which enables me to complete the ABA-accredited curriculum in a hybrid format to accommodate my family's military service. I recently completed an internship with the Maine Indigent Defense Center, working with attorneys to represent low-income clients in misdemeanor and felony cases. I'm passionate about recognition of and compliance with the constitutional right to counsel and the prevention of wrongful convictions. I previously worked as a Law Clerk for The Department of Children and Families, Children’s Legal Services office. My roles included conducting legal research and drafting motions, orders, and appellate documents in dependency court proceedings. I hold a B.A. in Foreign Language and Communication Media (a.k.a journalism & French) from American University and continue to refine my communications skills as a Marketing Associate for the News Literacy Project.
I completed a co-op with the Maine Indigent Defense Center, working with attorneys to represent low-income clients in misdemeanor and felony cases and to advocate for statewide reform to address right to counsel violations.
