My name is Ellen Fogarty I am a 3rd year undergraduate student studying Bsc Business Management at Lancaster University and a member of Lonsdale College. My degree Business Management ranges from entrepreneurial project management skills, to creating detailed spreadsheets on Microsoft Excel and the most effective ways to analyse data and put this into a feesable format. This degree includes a wide aspect of different skills including Accounting and Finance, Management, Entrepreneurship, Economics and Marketing. My passion for computers grows stronger everyday as we see new technological advances happening all around us, and I look forward to the future to joining one of the fastest growing industries and how Social Media Management can help develop a businesses reputation. Alongside my studies I have previously been a member of the Lonsdale College JCR Executive, holding the role of Vice-President and Social Secretary . This position allowed me to develop my organisational skills whilst planning big events for various students and enhancing my public speaking skills when hosting social events. The events organised encourage students to step out of their accommodation and remember the balance between work life and protecting their mental health ensuring all students have a point of contact with their welfare officers. This role has allowed me to liase between different members on the college team, and organise big events with local pubs and companies within Lancaster. Currently employed by FGH Security, I fulfil my days off uni working on the frontline #keepingpeoplesafe. My role ranges from working the National Control Centre, helping to facilitate the needs of employees nationwide, to working Response at wide-scale events such as Glastonbury and Silverstone. This role allows me to apply my dynamic skill set to a variety of different scenarios. Also providing me with a Level 2 First Aid Qualification.
