As a Severe SEN TA, I provide tailored support to students with diverse learning and physical needs, and degenerative conditions, working closely with teachers to adapt lesson materials, implement behaviour management strategies, and foster an inclusive and adaptable learning environment. My role involves one-on-one and small group support, helping students to develop academic, social, and emotional skills, and assisting with mobility and accessibility needs. This includes working with assistive technologies, sensory tools, and differentiated learning strategies to ensure engagement. I have also been building on my signing skills to ensure communication with non-verbal students.
Working with individuals who have experienced traumatic brain injury, and helping them to participate in activities that facilitate social rehabilitation.
