Senior at Iowa State University studying Elementary Education with an endorsement in Mathematics. I am from the suburbs of Minneapolis, MN, where I developed an early passion for learning, being challenged, and helping others. My dream of becoming a teacher has prompted me to pursue a variety of opportunities and experiences in the field, allowing me to observe a variety of teachers’ classroom management and instructional styles, support students emotionally and academically, and gain valuable experience being independent in the classroom. The education I have received at Iowa State continues to enhance my knowledge of pedagogy and outlook on teaching. As a teacher, it is important to me to build a strong classroom community where students can learn, thrive, and belong through instilling a proactive, goal-oriented environment and prioritizing student relationships. I am a strong believer that every child can learn at high levels given the support they need to be successful.
