About

Senior at Iowa State University studying Elementary Education with an endorsement in Mathematics. I am from the suburbs of Minneapolis, MN, where I developed an early passion for learning, being challenged, and helping others. My dream of becoming a teacher has prompted me to pursue a variety of opportunities and experiences in the field, allowing me to observe a variety of teachers’ classroom management and instructional styles, support students emotionally and academically, and gain valuable experience being independent in the classroom. The education I have received at Iowa State continues to enhance my knowledge of pedagogy and outlook on teaching. As a teacher, it is important to me to build a strong classroom community where students can learn, thrive, and belong through instilling a proactive, goal-oriented environment and prioritizing student relationships. I am a strong believer that every child can learn at high levels given the support they need to be successful. My natural strengths, dedication and commitment to excellence will be an asset to both myself and my students in the classroom.
