A driven and hardworking graduate MEng Aerospace engineer, with a strong interest in aerodynamics and wind tunnel testing.
My role as a wind tunnel operations intern involved preparing test technologies, maintenance and running tunnel tests, assisting with the production of data to facilitate the aerodynamic development for the Alpine F1 car. I was fortunate to work in a dynamic, encouraging team, in which I developed confidence, whilst gaining experience in professionalism, effective teamwork and organisation. I gained an understanding of wind tunnel automation and data acquisition, which allowed me to support wind tunnel operation. I gained experience using the Cosworth Diablo software and DAQ hardware alongside PC-based automation and control technology, TwinCAT 3. Overall, I gained an insight into experimental aerodynamic testing in a fast-paced research and development environment, where I gained a multitude of practical and professional skills.
A week-long placement with Collins Aerospace in the summer of 2019. I completed tasks using CAD software, specifically CATIA V5 and shadowed engineers on high-lift device actuation system manufacture.
