Business and marketing student developing hands-on experience in social media, branding, and international marketing. Recently worked with an aircraft magazine and secured a summer internship to continue building industry experience. Interested in understanding how brands connect with global audiences and grow through digital platforms.
As a Duty Manager at Christ Hospital School, I welcomed international students during the holidays and helped look after them during their stay as they learned English. This includes doing inventories of linen and managing stock to make sure we had what we needed. I also communicated with the customers using multiple channels and in person to make sure at all times they had what they needed and were looked after. What I particularly liked about this role was the great teamworking skills I was able to build, as we were constantly able to meet goals and our tasks on time as a team.
Working at a bubble tea shop, meant I gained customer service skills through my ability to engage with customers, take orders, and ensuring they had a positive experience while waiting for me to make their orders. Further in my job, I helped with inventory management by stocking shelves counting inventory and made sure the stock room and workspace remained tidy. I gained cash handling skills through managing cash in the register and processing the customers payments. I also prepared the bubble tea drinks by measuring out ingredients and using equipment efficiently.
