As Chief People Officer at IMI, a FTSE 100 engineering company, I am a member of the Executive Committee and a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, helping shape the leadership, culture and organisational discipline required to deliver enterprise strategy and long-term value creation. Over the past decade I have played a central role in strengthening IMI’s performance culture — helping shift the organisation to a clearer, more accountable and commercially focused way of operating, while significantly improving employee engagement and experience across the business. I believe culture is a commercial lever. When expectations are clear, leadership is strong and people feel connected to the strategy, organisations move faster, innovate more effectively and deliver better results. I’m also naturally curious about new ideas and approaches that can improve how organisations perform — from experimenting with new leadership and operating models to the early adoption of technologies such as AI. Driving enterprise transformation, high-performance culture, and strategic alignment of reward, succession and workforce capability to deliver long-term shareholder value. - Enterprise Transformation: Partnered with CEO to deliver One IMI operating model; transitioned from divisional to sector-led structure, driving +31% value added per employee and FTSE 150 to FTSE 100 progression. - Leadership & Succession: Led Board and Executive succession, implemented IMI Leader Model, hi-po programmes and targeted female leadership initiatives. - Workforce Planning & AI Readiness: Developed 5-year global workforce plan; established AI capability pathways and job redesign pilots to embed technology into future-ready roles. - Operational Excellence: Launched global HRIS and job architecture to enhance governance, pay transparency, compliance and people analytics. - Employee Experience & Engagement: Deployed global engagement platforms; led “Unlock Your Potential” strategy, achieving consecutive 10% YOY engagement gains and 18% leadership score improvement. - Inclusion & Diversity: Strengthened inclusion governance and initiatives; grew Executive Committee female representation from 0% to 40% and built a sustainable leadership pipeline. - Corporate Narrative & Talent Strategy: Embedded One IMI narrative internally and externally; built in-house global talent acquisition team, improved mobility pathways and strengthened HR operating models for growth and M&A readiness.
