Advocate for global health equity, with a focus on pediatric dentistry and public health. I’m currently a member of the FDI World Dental Federation’s Public Health Committee. I was awarded a U.S. Fulbright scholarship for teaching and research at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm Sweden for 2025-2026. Having worked extensively in public health, immigrant and refugee health, academia and specialty pediatric dentistry private practice, I fully understand the opportunities and challenges faced in all of these settings. Therefore I bring a unique comprehensive perspective to my collaborative work. I completed my BS Pharmacy, DDS, MPH, and Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Research interests and area of expertise include: maternal and child oral health, infant oral health, refugee/immigrant oral health, environmental sustainability in dentistry, care for patients with cleft lip/palate and global oral health in dental education.
