• Perform library construction on RNA samples with Illumina TruSeq Stranded Total RNA kits (manual library preparation as well as automated library preparation on the Sciclone) • Maintain and launch samples on Next-Generation Sequencing platforms: Hiseq 2500, NextSeq 500/550, and cBot • Measure quality of samples via Dropsense for both RNA and DNA samples, Tapestation for both RNA and DNA, Picogreen DNA Quantification, and KAPA Library Amplification
• Received and processed biospecimen samples according to Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) standards, and compliance with all laboratory regulations, including Joint Commission, and CAP • Responsible for transformations of B-lymphocyte cells with Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) from research samples • Performed plasma/serum/buffy coat extractions and storage with patient specimens • Responsible for extraction of DNA/RNA from clinical and research samples and subsequent quantification of those samples by picogreen and optical density (OD) • Assisted in collecting data for quality assurance and quality control programs to identify opportunities for quality improvement
