Provided leadership, vision, and strategy in mission-centered programming, organizational and financial development and implementation, in partnership with the Board of Directors and Staff, to deliver best in class Holocaust education to Florida’s students and broader community. Responsible for ensuring support for the Museum on national, statewide, and local levels. • Tripled budget and revenues from 1.1M to 3.3M • Managed expenses to end each fiscal year (July- June) with surplus, including 2019-21 • Increased private, foundation and corporate donations by 105% • Successfully secured and managed yearly allocations from state, county, and city governments • Grew visitor and program participants from 19,000 to more than 225,000 (pre-pandemic) • Grew museum collections from 12,000 to over 20,000 artifacts, objects, and art • Technology initiative extended reach of museum collections and programs internationally • Established key partnership with the Department of Education, individual school districts, and county/city leadership to expand Museum services to all 2.756 million students in Florida’s 73 school districts • Oversaw successful reaccreditation by American Alliance of Museums
Produced and co-authored the new musical “The Brain That Wouldn’t Die! Developed and oversaw FY10 and FY11 fundraising events as well as general departmental strategic planning, goal setting, and implementation. Attained annual campaign goals and raised $1.6 million while trimming expenditures 33% from previous year. Advocated for and led the institute’s e-Fundraising Initiative to incorporate on-line giving.
Created and oversaw all educational resources and programming including docent-led and self-guided tours, adult and family programs, online activities and resources, the Parent and Teacher Resource Center, and teacher workshops.
