I have always been a storyteller. One of my first memories threading the storytelling arc of my life so far is from when I was writing these short, comedic mystery stories for my 2nd-grade class in our weekly creative writing share time. Each week my classmates would all sit in a circle on the rug waiting in anticipation for the next chapter installment of my story about a witty group of friends (undoubtedly inspired by Scooby Doo, Magic Tree House, and the A-Z Mysteries) who solve mysteries together. I loved the feeling I got when one of my classmates would smile or laugh at a line I crafted.  That love for storytelling has driven me ever since and brought me to this exciting creative juncture in my life! As an experienced social strategist and May 2024 Master in Media Studies graduate, I'm excited to bring the many hats I wear to the shared table of our ever-evolving media industry. I'm very interested in the cross-cultural points of cross-digital storytelling, especially in how it relates to how those trends divide up amongst different demographic lines of mass-multi-media consumers. I have over 6 years of professional experience working in and alongside social media direction, brand strategy, stakeholder relationship management, and audio and video content planning and production. As an avid pop-culture consumer, I have a deep passion for everything related to fashion, entertainment, news, and current events, with an almost eccentric love for podcasting. Though I am a film nerd, I tell my friends to keep me in check to make sure I'm not annoying or pretentious about it. I also have a real love for reality TV, which fellow film junkies might extradite me for. Sue me. I love people, and I perform better working alongside them. I'm a big believer that everyone is a team player and everyone has something to bring to the table—you just have to be open to listening to them! I'm known to be quick on my feet, easy to get along with, and highly self-aware. I have an eye for detail and a knack for organizational tendencies, which comes in handy while working in the fast-moving, multi-functioning, collaborative environments I'm used to working in (& to be honest, the environments I like best!) I'm always looking for new connections that bring more good into our real-life and online communities.
