* Proud ambassador of Decathlon, passionated about triathlon & Ironman finisher but also bonne vivante * At Decathlon I found the perfect match between sports and management. Decathlon stands for vitality and responsibility, values and norms that we all want to translate in our job and our lifestyle. A strong quality about the firm is that I work with people that share the same passion. That makes Decathlon more than just a retail company, it is a community!
Dedicated to enriching and enhancing all sporting experiences, our ambition is to accompany sportspeople in their sporting activities and even beyond, in their active daily lives, thanks to unique products and services. Health & Sport Accessories includes 5 departments: sports nutrition, recovery & care products, electonics, optics and bags. As a Sport Market Leader, I identify and capitalize on economic trends by collecting and analyzing market data. Based on these insights, strategies tailored to customer needs are developped and an effective omnichannel offer is defined and implemented. In addition, I steer the commercial approach and energize the sales dynamic, in store and online. In doing so, I actively contribute to the brand’s growth and positioning.
As a merchandiser at the head office of Decathlon, I define and concretize the omnichannel customer journey in order to help the customer with their best choice in sports nutrition. It is our mission to research the market on the customer profile, to determine and execute short and long term actions to improve the customer experience and to construct and distribute merchandising goods. Our commercial team provides guidelines and support to the national commercial directors and their local teams.
My mission is to make triathlon more accessible for the many in Belgium! With Aptonia, our exclusive triathlon and nutrition brand by Decathlon, we promise to make this sport more simple than you think, so that everybody can experience the pleasure of this challenge. With a local playground in Ghent, I set up projects for Aptonia and try to share the maximum with all Belgian stores. It's my responsibility to define our national ambitions and to manage our objectives on short and long term. Therefore, it's a perfect mix between social skills and analytic performance.
In the oldest and one of the biggest Belgian Decathlon store, I had the opportunity to celebrate our 20 years anniversary with a beautiful project: One Antwerp, as we all focus on the same target. Coaching our department managers and managing the overall operational process with the Store Manager is the main job of a Store Manager in training. But because of a big interest in the logistic processes, I also took the responsibility to optimize our stock level to have the right products on the right place at the right time. A transition of an offline retailer to a real omni player is crucial for a successful future, so changing the mindset of our experienced staff was a beautiful and necessary challenge.
Inspired by the book Freedom Inc. (Isaac Getz, Brian M. Carney), as part of the executive management team of the store, I started a movement to liberate employees in order to achieve greater job satisfaction and therefore better results. I was responsible for various aspects as HR and security on store level and the direct coaching of department managers. As a national trainer for recruitment skills, I was a leading force to improve the employer branding of our company.

Every two weeks we have group training in swimming, core stability and cycling or running.
